Rates & Low Inventory
With spring being around the corner we are anticipating housing inventory to go up. Lately, there has been a shortage due in part to the fires last year, but also having a longer winter has caused people to wait to put their homes on the market. Rates have also been the lowest they’ve been in over a year; that coupled with a higher housing inventory, has us forecasting a very busy springtime.
Mortgage Calculators
When running a mortgage payment or looking at rates online it’s important to talk to a mortgage professional first. Mortgage calculators on sites like Zillow or Bank Rate don’t take into consideration local property taxes, homeowners insurance, etc. It is not uncommon for there to be pretty big discrepancy between the payments, so make sure to talk to a mortgage professional for accurate payments to help aid you in your home search.
First Responders & Heroes Program
Commerce is running some great programs for First Responders, Veterans, or anyone in the education field. We love to help our “Heroes” and these programs offer special credits for closing costs as well as other benefits. If you know of anyone in those fields, send them our way, we’d love to help.
