🏠 Current Market Conditions
Right now, interest rates are still in the 6’s and haven’t come down since last November. However, despite the high rates, the market is hot nationwide. There are a lot of buyers out there, which means that many people are having to get aggressive with their offers. It may seem contradictory to what the media has been saying, but anyone that is telling you there is a housing crash right now just isn’t looking at the numbers. The fact is that there simply aren’t enough homes available for the families that want to buy, and this isn’t going to be an easy problem to solve.
🤔 What to Expect
Interest rates are likely to come down, which is good news for buyers who bought a home earlier this year or late last year and are looking to refinance. However, there are concerns in the industry that things could become chaotic again if the inventory doesn’t improve. But regardless of what happens, one thing is clear: it’s a good time to sell a home.
️⭐️ CalHFA Dream for All Program
If you haven’t heard, the CalHFA Dream for All Program is a 20% down-payment assistance program that helps low to moderate income buyers lower their payment.I think this is one of the best programs I’ve seen in my 20 years in the industry, and if you know any first-time homebuyers, please let them know to take advantage of it ASAP, as the funds for the program are running out quickly.
